CCEW Hosts 11 Bangladeshi Students for Entrepreneurial Exchange Program

American entrepreneurship is the focus of study for 11 Bangladeshi students participating in a U.S. State Department-funded entrepreneurial exchange program at the University of Oklahoma during the month of April.

Bangladeshi EntrepreurshipThe students are learning about the opportunities and challenges of the ever-changing global business environment and the effective communication and marketing plans necessary for new business ventures to succeed across the world. Guiding their study are OU representatives of the Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth and the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Beyond the classroom, the students are talking with local leaders, visiting museums and festivals and participating in other culture-building activities in the Oklahoma City metro area. To cap off their experience, the students will spend their final week in America in Washington, D.C., in a series of activities facilitated by the federal government. Later this year, a number of Oklahoma entrepreneurs will journey to Bangladesh to experience a similar program.

The program is another one of OU's efforts to internationalize the University and the curriculum. The collaborative program between the Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth and the Gaylord College highlights OU's intellectual talent while providing OU students, faculty and staff the opportunity to serve as global citizens.
